Key Responsibilities:
- Student Transportation:
Safely transport students to and from school daily, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. - Route Management:
Follow a pre-determined route while being adaptable to any necessary changes or adjustments due to traffic or weather conditions. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of all passengers during transit. - Pre-Trip Inspections:
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe working order. Report any maintenance issues immediately. - Student Supervision:
Monitor student behavior while on the bus to maintain a safe and respectful environment. Address any concerns promptly and professionally. - Emergency Preparedness:
As a school bus driver you have to be prepared to handle emergencies and communicate effectively with school officials and emergency services if needed. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during your route.
Requirements:
- Experience:
Proven work experience as a School Bus Driver or in a similar role that demonstrates a strong commitment to safety. - Driving Record:
A clean driving record, with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the past five years. - Licensing:
Valid driving license appropriate for operating a school bus, along with any necessary endorsements required by local regulations. - Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff. - Physical Fitness:
Ability to assist students when needed, including helping with boarding and disembarking. - Location Requirement:
