Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in Packaging Construction Materials and Equipment: Ensure that all construction materials and equipment are properly packaged, secured, and protected to prevent damage during transportation. This includes using appropriate materials such as bubble wrap, foam, or strapping for added safety. Attention to detail is crucial in ensuring that everything is ready for safe transport to the construction team.
- Organize and Label Packages for Efficient Transportation: Take the lead in sorting, organizing, and clearly labeling packages, including identifying the contents, weight, and destination. This process will help streamline the loading and unloading process, minimizing delays and errors when moving materials to the correct location on-site.
- Load and Unload Construction Supplies: Take responsibility for loading materials onto trucks or transport vehicles and unloading them at the construction team as required. This includes physically lifting and handling materials in a safe manner, ensuring everything is delivered on time, and placed where it’s needed.
- Collaborate with the Construction Team: Work closely with other team members on-site to facilitate the smooth flow of operations. This may involve assisting with inventory management, communicating material needs, or supporting the team in keeping track of supplies for ongoing projects. A cooperative and flexible attitude will help maintain a productive environment.
Job Requirements:
- Previous Experience: While experience in packaging or the construction industry is beneficial, it’s not mandatory. However, candidates should be familiar with basic construction materials, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Physical Fitness: The role requires physical strength and endurance as you’ll be handling heavy materials and equipment. The ability to lift, carry, and move substantial loads safely is essential, as is being comfortable with physically demanding tasks.
